Figurines Mine : what is it?

Having been introduced to 3D resin printing to personalize our figurines and save money, the idea naturally came to us to sell resin figurines designed by our little hands.

The particularity of Figurines Mine is to offer each figurine in 3 distinct formats:

  • unpainted: the resin figurine alone and to paint.

  • simple painting or ready-to-play: the figurine is painted with simple techniques. (bases, slapchop, etc.)

  • advanced painting: the figurine is painted with advanced techniques. (darkening/lightening, highlights, gradients etc.)

Passion for History at the Service of Creativity

Our passion for history and the university training of one of the founders of Figurines Mine allow us to research and manipulate the most reliable historical and contemporary sources possible. This allows us to offer you the most credible figurines possible in terms of equipment and accessories and to be able to place them in their historical context.

We mainly rely on texts specializing in military equipment and on artefacts exhibited in museums (for example, you will never, ever find a Norseman with a horned helmet! We said historical, not operetta...).

Nevertheless, we will be obliged to make certain editorial choices so that the design, printing and painting of these figurines remain on a human scale.

The concern for quality

Our figurines are printed with quality tools (Elegoo printer, Anycubic resin...) and have been tested with several printing parameters to find the right balance between quality of details and solidity.

The post-printing treatment is thus as light as possible to avoid as much as possible any traces of sanding or other inconveniences.

If some areas remain fragile, we do not hesitate to complete this treatment with a thin layer of additional transparent liquid resin, which can leave an additional shiny film, to reinforce the solidity of the figurine by reducing the details to a minimum. This shine will disappear with the undercoat that you will apply if you buy your figurines unpainted.

Warning: We would like to draw your attention to the fact that, just like throwing dwarves, throwing figurines is strongly discouraged! Figurines remain fragile objects and we have not yet been able to integrate airbags into their armor.

Concern for the environment

We are aware of the environmental impact of our activity and we do everything we can to reduce it as much as possible, on our scale.

Each product that is harmful to the environment is kept in a container before being taken to the recycling centre. (resin residues, used isopropyl alcohol, etc.).

Similarly, we do not use so-called water-washable resin or resin derived from soybeans given the environmental impact of soybean cultivation.
