Elpenor (named after one of Odysseus's companions in the Odyssey) was a Greek warrior of the Persian and Peloponnesian Wars. He wore a linen breastplate (linothorax) and a bronze Chalcidian-style helmet, lighter than a Corinthian helmet. His shield was depicted as two facing serpents, and he carried a short sword called a "Xiphos," a style that would be used until the Hellenistic period.

Elpenor can join your Saga armies for the Age of Hannibal period or integrate a phalanx into your  Swordpoint battles.
